Bringing Unique Ballet and Storytelling Opportunities to Los Angeles Students

This season, we were thrilled to collaborate with the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre to present a special outreach program inspired by our full-length production of Little Women. Designed to introduce students across the Los Angeles area to the transformative power of ballet and storytelling, this initiative was a celebration of creativity, community, and culture.

By sharing the timeless story of Little Women through the universal language of dance, we aimed to spark creativity and encourage young minds to dream boldly. This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to making the arts accessible and meaningful to the next generation.

We are deeply grateful to the Wilshire Ebell Theatre for their partnership and to the students and educators who joined us for this enriching experience. Together, we’re nurturing a love for the arts and empowering future storytellers and creators.

Bringing Stories to Life Through Ballet: Little Women and the Power of Movement

At Little Women Ballet, we believe that storytelling can transcend words. Ballet, with its elegance and emotional depth, offers a unique and powerful way to bring the pages of literature to life. Through expressive movement, we transform stories like Little Women into a visual experience that speaks directly to the heart.

We are proud to bring this art form to students throughout Los Angeles, where we explore the power of storytelling through dance. By connecting literature with movement, we show how ballet can convey the emotions, themes, and relationships in stories without the need for dialogue. From the strength of Jo’s ambitions to the quiet grace of Beth’s spirit, each character’s journey is embodied through the dancers’ expressive movements, creating an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

Through our school programs, we engage students in discovering how the body can tell a story. Students learn how to interpret literary themes through dance and understand how movements can reflect characters' emotions, struggles, and growth. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of dancers, storytellers, and creators, showing them that ballet isn’t just about beautiful steps—it's a language all its own, capable of telling powerful stories.

Join us in bringing the magic of literature to life through dance, and let the beauty of movement help your students experience storytelling in a whole new way.
